An exquisite antique platinum chain necklace featuring 13 natural pearls, dating to the Belle Époque-early Art Deco period, circa 1905–1925.
This elegant long chain is composed of finely crafted open-work geometric platinum links, each individually formed from slender wire with complex internal crossing detail, creating a light yet intricate structure that drapes beautifully on the neckline. Thirteen softly lustrous pearls are integrated throughout the chain as stations, offering gentle contrast against the cool tone of the platinum.
The 35-inch necklace is fitted with a delicate 18ct white gold bolt ring clasp, finished with a traditional yellow gold thumb-piece. The bolt ring bail bears a French eagle head hallmark, indicating French assay for 18ct gold. The combination of a platinum chain with gold clasp components is characteristic of fine European jewellery from the early 20th century.
The necklace remains in excellent antique condition, with no noted issues and beautiful integrity to the links and pearls.
A refined and versatile antique chain that can be worn long, doubled, or layered with other pieces.
